  • The modern-day problem with dry and irritated eyes
  • This marine pigment works wonders for eye fatigue
  • Replenish your eyes with the fats they crave

When I was in medical school I spent hours pouring over medical journals. I remember how tired my eyes would get… how the black ink sometimes seemed like it was turning gray. Eventually, it would get too blurry to read.

Back then I didn’t know how to relieve symptoms of dry, tired and gritty eyes. I’d rub them like crazy and give them a little dose of Visine. It seldom helped. Sometimes it even seemed to make things worse.

These days I know better. Truth is, I don’t know how I would ever be able to spend hours on my computer, tablet or smartphone without the knowledge I have today. Continue reading

  • Are antacids destroying your health?
  • Why you may need more stomach acid, not less
  • Diagnosing the source of your digestive issues

When people come to me with chronic indigestion, the first thing I ask is what they’re currently doing to relieve their symptoms.

If I learn they’re taking a class of antacids called proton-pump inhibitors, or PPIs, I immediately advise to begin weaning off of them. It’s important to come down slowly since the longer you’re dosing with them the more proton pumps the body is making and the larger the rebound acid effect will be if you just go off cold turkey.

The reason is simple. This class of drugs comes with serious health dangers that their manufacturers would much rather you didn’t know about. Continue reading

Statins: The Biggest Fraud

lower LDL, lower cholesterol, protect heart, statin side effects, side effects of taking statin drugs, cons of statin medications

  • Big Pharma is perpetuating a fraud
  • The ugly side of statins
  • LDL isn’t a problem, but this is…

Big Pharma is constantly looking for new ways to rope you into taking statin drugs. And they actively discourage any reporting of negative side effects.

The only message they want you to hear is that these drugs will protect you from a heart attack and might save your life. There have even been reports of added benefits to taking statins.

For example, last month you may have seen headlines stating taking a statin might help ward off Alzheimer’s disease. In recent years there have also been some reports that these drugs can reduce the incidence of certain types of cancer.

Don’t fall for it.

Save Your Teeth, Save Your Life

Dental care, oral hygiene, dental health, prevent gum disease and gingivitus

  • The amazing nutrient that heals gum disease
  • Poor dental health linked to poor physical health
  • Save your teeth, save your life

Back in the 1970’s, scientists made a groundbreaking discovery.

They found that the majority of people suffering from gingivitis and periodontal disease had extremely low blood levels of a specific nutrient.

But guess what happened when patients with gingival pockets, swelling, pain, bleeding and loose teeth caused by gum disease took 50 mg of this nutrient each day?

In just three weeks all of them showed improvement in the condition of their gums. In fact, the results were equivalent to 6 months of regular dental care… but occurred in less than a single month!

Over the years, the use of this nutrient in dental health has practically vanished. That’s a great injustice to anyone who suffers from gum disease. Worse, it may be damaging much more than your dental health.

March 3, 2017

  • A common but often missed cause of fatigue
  • Is exhaustion making you older than your years?
  • The best fatigue-fighter on earth

Does fatigue automatically come with age? Is it natural to find yourself spending more time drowsing around on the couch, watching TV and napping as you grow older?

These are questions that I hear from patients on a regular basis. Many of them are quite healthy and have no underlying conditions that contribute to feelings of exhaustion.

Yet here they are… slogging through their days at a snail’s pace… afraid that if they use any extra energy they’ll feel even more run down.

Foods That Sound Healthy, But Aren’t

foods high in sugar, foods that seem healthy but are not, power bars healthy?, protein bars healthy?, is vitamin water healthy?, healthy protein and power bars

By David Blyweiss, M.D., Advanced Natural Wellness

March 1, 2017

  • Even the healthiest sounding foods come with risks
  • How much hidden sugar are you eating every day?
  • To Nutella… or not to Nutella

Some foods and beverages sound so healthy that it’s difficult to stop and think twice before purchasing them.

Vitamin water is a perfect example. What could be healthier than fresh water infused with antioxidant and energizing nutrients like vitamins A, E, C and the B’s?

Well, water and vitamins may be a healthy mix. But when you add fructose or processed sugar in large quantities, it severely restricts any health benefits you’ll get. And that’s exactly what vitamin water contains… a lot of added sugar.

Men: What To Know About Testosterone Therapy

low t count, low testoesterone, free testosterone, hormone replacement therapy, increase t count

By David Blyweiss, M.D., Advanced Natural Wellness

February 20, 2017

  • Are you suffering from low T?
  • Why hormone replacement therapy isn’t your best option
  • Here’s how to put the tiger back into your tank

If you’re running low on testosterone, you probably feel like your “get up and go got up and went” – in more ways than one!

Not only is it likely that your bedroom activities are failing, but you may also be experiencing feelings of aimlessness, loss of energy and a general dissatisfaction with life. Tack on an expanding waistline, decreased muscle mass and the development of breast tissue… Well, any man would feel miserable.

This makes the idea of turning to testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) very appealing. In fact the appeal is so great that, over a single decade, testosterone prescriptions here in the U.S. increased 10 times over.

Believe me, I get it. Watch the commercials and it’s easy to imagine that after a month or two of treatment you’ll be the talk of the town – energetic, sexy and healthier looking than you’ve been in years.

But before you turn to synthetic testosterone treatments in an effort to put the tiger back in your tank, there are a few things you should be aware of. Continue reading
