- Commercially available foods you should never eat
- When it comes to meats, quality counts the most
- Produce doesn’t always have to be organic
You know that eating fresh, naturally-produced foods can add years to your life – and let you enjoy extra years with a sharper brain, stronger body and more youthful energy.
But if you don’t have a Whole Foods or other health oriented, organics available food store nearby, it may not be as easy to stock up on these foods as you would like.
When this happens, you probably end up buying a lot more conventionally produced foods than you would prefer.
If this concerns you, it should.
There are some foods you never want to eat unless they’re grown or raised as naturally as possible. The environmental working group is a great source for an update (ewg.org) of ‘the dirty dozen’ in fruits and vegetables.
However, there are others where you can get away with a little bit of variation.
So let’s take a look at some of the tricks you can use to eat as naturally as possible, even when your choices are limited.
When it Comes to Meats, Quality Counts.
First, let’s talk about your animal proteins.
When you eat meat at your dinner table, you’re also eating what’s in them. So if you’re buying commercially-raised meats at the grocery store, your meals are basically loaded with hormones, antibiotics and GMO components (from the feed that the animals eat). None of this is good for your health – or your weight. So it’s a good idea to avoid the majority of meat and seafood that’s available at the supermarket.
But what happens if you’re looking for an animal protein to have at dinner, and don’t have time to drive half-way across town to find a more natural source?
Well, I’ll bet you can find a few naturally raised animal products at the grocery store. For example, my neighborhood Publix usually has a small variety of wild-caught fish on hand in the seafood department, and free ranged poultry… so we have those choices.
Plus, they always have several packages of grass-fed ground beef and buffalo at the meat counter.
If you’re desperate for another cut of meat, check out the ones that contain neither antibiotics or hormones, maybe both in one! They aren’t the best, and I don’t recommend eating them all of the time since you don’t know what the animals were fed. But they’ll do in a pinch.
The World's Quickest Solution for Ending Prostate and Urinary Misery
This has recently been revealed to be one of the only real breakthroughs in prostate health.
The seeds of a strange fruit (sometimes called "Chinese Apples") hold powerful phytonutrients that are a revolution in prostate health.
In fact, UCLA and Veterans Administration research have now proved this to be true.
Not only that, but it may be the worlds quickest solution for ending prostate misery.
Simply stated, these phytonutrients represent a huge step beyond beta sitosterol, saw palmetto, and other phytosterols alone.

Then, next time you stop into a store that carries a wide variety of naturally raised meats, stock up them. Wild-caught fish is your best choice. Then, add some nice cuts of grass-fed beef, pork and free-range poultry.
When you get home, wrap serving-size portions up tightly and keep them in the freezer until you need them.
Produce Doesn’t Always have to be Organic
Nobody wants to ingest all of the toxic pesticides that come along with eating conventional produce. This is a key reason for choosing organic.
But I’ve got a little trick up my sleeve.
Certain types of produce are absolutely laced with pesticides. In these cases, you’ll always want to buy organic. (I suggest finding a local organic food stand. Chances are good that their prices will be a lot lower than you’ll find at the store.)
However, some conventionally grown produce have relatively low pesticide residues. This means you can bypass the organic versions, just as long as you give them a good washing before you eat them.
The Environmental Working Group calls these two groups The Dirty Dozen Plus and The Clean 15. And they update the lists annually.
