So, what’s the big deal with cereal? Why do people just assume it’s a good meal to start your day? I blame the marketing folks over in Battle Creek, Michigan – home of Kellogg’s.

They’ve made it “normal” to eat processed ultra refined carbohydrates and sugar to break our fast… especially if you’re a naïve child watching the commercials. Personally, I enjoy a different eating approach and it’s one I’ve learned by looking back at our ancestors.

I have an older age relative who swears by his morning cup of coffee. After sipping on his mug o’ joe, he’ll go without food for the rest of the day. An Exciting New Way to Walk

I love to go walking on the fitness trail at my local park. I walk briskly around the one-mile loop while enjoying some quality time outdoors.

In fact, I often recommend to my patients they add daily movement to their routine. It’s as simple as picking a direction and walking for twenty minutes… and then walking home!

Clearing up the Confusion about Functional Medicine

Years ago, I became seriously ill and ended up in the hospital. Fearing cancer, my doctors did test after test looking for an answer. I even went through several rounds of radiation via injectable dyes and scanners. It was terrible.
