Why Alzheimer’s Drugs Don’t Work

Well Big Pharma and the FDA are up to their usual shenanigans with the new Alzheimer’s drug. It’s called aducanumab, and is being sold under the trade name of Aduhelm.

There is no way this drug should have been approved. The FDA’s own expert advisory committee unanimously rejected the drug. They even said they didn’t see any benefit in performing any additional studies on it.

But the FDA granted the approval anyway. In their own words “The FDA has determined that there is substantial evidence that Aduhelm reduces amyloid beta plaques in the brain and that the reduction in these plaques is reasonably likely to predict important benefits to patients”. Continue reading
