A few years ago, my father-in-law finally lost his battle with emphysema. He had been the love of my mother-in-laws life and, while losing someone you love is never easy, it was especially painful because his death happened during the holidays. Although my mother-in-law has moved on with her life, the time between Christmas and New Years always finds her a bit sad and nostalgic.
